On the surface, Bob Lawten and Dennis Lambert look like
the kind of professionals that you might find working in the
executive suite of a major US corporation. Impeccably
dressed in their suits and ties, you'd never guess that one of
these seasoned real estate professionals is an accomplished
guitar player and the other a legendary songwriter and
producer of some of America's favorite pop tunes. Working
separately in the real estate business for many years, their
mutual love of music is what brought them together. Prior to
joining Carriage Trade Properties (later acquired by Lang Realty), Bob and Dennis both
worked at a luxury real estate firm in Boca Raton. While
there, they quickly realized that they had many other
common interests besides music: a passion for the real
estate business, a "hands on" personal and professional
approach to customer service, and an extensive knowledge
of the greater Boca Raton - Delray Beach market.
Bob Lawten is a long time Boca Raton resident with an
impressive business background, having held key executive
management positions in sales and marketing with IBM and
other major high technology firms. While he and his wife
were raising their three daughters, Bob had set his sights on
eventually making the transition from a high technology
career to high-end real estate, acquiring significant "hands
on" knowledge and experience by developing and
renovating properties in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania
and the Florida Keys. Dennis Lambert arrived in Boca Raton
by way of Los Angeles and New York where he composed
and produced music for many years. Establishing himself as a
successful real estate agent in New York City with Douglas
Elliman (he maintains an active practice in New York), Dennis
opted for the sunnier environs of South Florida with his wife
and teenage daughter.
"When I turned 50, I thought it would
be nice to find a new way to engage myself and earn a living
as a mature adult. I spent so many years of my life inside a
room without windows (a recording studio somewhere in
the world) that I really wanted some freedom to literally
experience daylight without being on a vacation, " Dennis
quipped. "Real estate was an excellent fit. I have invested in
it over the years, developed luxury homes in California as a
hobby and came to appreciate both its economic and
aesthetic appeal. Bob and I have a lot in common, and having a mutual
affinity for music served to strengthen our interest in
working together in the real estate business," noted Dennis.
"Music is a very powerful and creative force, and it has
heavily influenced our unique approach to the sales and
marketing of our clients' exceptional properties. When
you live and work in an area as beautiful and as vibrant as
southern Palm Beach County, you are always on the cutting
edge of the latest architecture and design that the industry
has available. This is what Bob and I find so appealing about
our real estate business. In addition, we are basically 'people
persons' and really enjoy working directly with our clients
and customers, providing them the high level of personal
attention and impeccable service that they expect and
deserve .. our "Double Platinum Real Estate Experience. "
With Bob on guitar and me on piano, our listing
presentations are quite unique, to say the least",
Dennis joked.
